A Russian helicopter crashed Thursday while conducting a simulated emergency response to an oil spill with Japanese officials. The amphibious Mi-14 helicopter crashed while trying to take off in heavy seas. After landing in the Sea of Okhotsk, it began to take on water. It then tipped over and broke apart when the rotors hit the water. One person was killed and three were injured in the crash.
